HiPhi Z Luxury EV Sedan 4/5seat
The shape of the mecha has a strong sci-fi feel, and the interior texture is excellent. When I saw the HiPhi Z for the first time, I even thought it was more stylish than the Porsche Taycan.
This new car adopts a completely different mecha shape. The body lines are full of mechanical sense, which is wider and lower than ordinary sports cars. Coupled with the two-color matching, the visual impact is really impressive.
Moreover, the second-generation PM programmable smart headlight system equipped on HiPhi Z supports projection function in addition to daily lighting. Cooperating with the star ring ISD light curtain system, the car lights have more combinations and playing methods. The audience members at the scene demonstrated the features such as U-turn and love for me.
And in order to improve the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle, HiPhi Z also uses a large number of aerodynamic component designs, and the front face is equipped with an AGS active air intake grille. When the speed exceeds 80km/h, the rear wing of this new car will automatically open to provide downforce.
In addition, HiPhi Z retains the side-by-side door design. The opening and closing of the front and rear electric doors makes getting on and off the car more ceremonial, and the frameless door design is not absent.
When I drove the HiPhi Z on the road, it really attracted the attention of many passers-by, and some passers-by even took pictures with their mobile phones. But I personally think that the appearance of HiPhi Z is a bit radical, which is indeed irresistible to young people, but in the eyes of some older consumers, the appearance style of HiPhi Z may not be so suitable.
For the interior part, HiPhi Z continues the sci-fi design style of the exterior, and the application of complex center console lines makes the entire interior quite layered. And the interior of this new car uses a combination of various fabrics such as suede, NAPPA leather, metal decorative parts, and bright black plaques, coupled with holographic illusion leather. I think this texture is really great!
I also like the shape of the steering wheel in the car, and the vibration feedback of the touch screen buttons is just right, but the leather fabric is a bit slippery.
It should be pointed out that HiPhi Z is not equipped with an LCD instrument panel, and the HUD head-up display function replaces the position of the instrument panel. Coupled with the 15.05-inch AMOLED touch screen and streaming media rearview mirror to form the display system in the car, the sense of technology is really strong. The large screen combination of HiPhi Z is really eye-catching, and this new car is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Compared with HiPhi X, I think the fluency of the entire operating system is much higher.
In terms of car-machine systems, HiPhi Z is equipped with a new HiPhi OS system developed by Gaohe, and the recognition of the built-in voice interaction system only supports Chinese. Moreover, the HiPhi Bot, an intelligent digital robot built into the system, has a relatively strong sense of interaction, and supports functions such as rotating the screen and listening to the location.
It is a pity that in this test drive, the driving assistance function of HiPhi Z has not yet been opened for trial use, and even the automatic parking function has not been demonstrated, and it is necessary to operate the parking position by itself. However, in the process of driving the vehicle, I still found some clues: the driving assistance function of HiPhi Z does not support the recognition of small animals and traffic lights for the time being, and it may not be available for trial until the next OTA is completed.
In terms of comfort, HiPhi Z performed very well. In the four-seater model I tested, the two independent rear seats are visually luxurious, and the backrest supports a certain degree of adjustment. The tester is 180cm tall and sits in the back row, with 3 fingers in the head room and more than two punches in the leg room, which is quite generous. Moreover, the rear seats are equipped with independent screens to control multimedia, air conditioning and seat backs, and the operation is smooth. Of course, if this set of seats is added with leg rests, the comfort must be better.
HiPhi Z is equipped with a panoramic canopy, which makes the entire cockpit space quite transparent, and I think this panoramic canopy has good heat insulation. This panoramic canopy can not only isolate ultraviolet rays, but also isolate infrared rays. I personally like the British Treasure audio system in the car. This audio system has 23 speakers and supports 7.1.4 channels. I listened to pop music, rock music and pure music, and all of them were well interpreted. To a certain extent, the immersive audio-visual effect has been achieved.
After the static experience, I also tested HiPhi Z. At first, I was using comfort mode. When driving on urban roads, the comfort mode is enough: in the comfort mode, the dynamic response of HiPhi Z is still relatively positive, and it is relatively easy to overtake the fuel vehicles on the road, and it can basically be a step faster when starting at traffic lights.

And when I chose the sports mode and stepped on the accelerator pedal with all my strength, I found that the 3.8-second breaking ability was really not covered. At that moment, the feeling of pushing back was quite strong. If you are driving in urban areas, I really don't recommend you to use the sports mode. After all, if you are a novice driver, you may not be able to control the acceleration.
The chassis suspension system of HiPhi Z is stable and solid, and there is no unnecessary shaking in many road conditions. It even makes me feel that its chassis adjustment is from an experienced sports brand. And thanks to the combination of air suspension and CDC, I think HiPhi Z does a good job of filtering vibration and noise when it passes through road bridge joints and potholes. However, if HiPhi Z can be stronger in terms of road feel feedback, then the driving experience will definitely be improved.
Compared with HiPhi X, HiPhi Z has obvious differences and more mature product ideas. It can be said that HiPhi Z has a handsome and aggressive shape, a good interior quality, a large screen combination full of technology, excellent comfort and excellent driving control performance, etc., which is really exciting. But we also want to point out that the driving assistance function of HiPhi Z has not yet been opened for trial use, which is a pity. Although it is a pity that I have not experienced the driving assistance function, but from the overall product performance, I think HiPhi Z does have the confidence to challenge the Porsche Taycan. However, at the brand level, this car company still needs a certain period of time to settle, after all, it is still a new force.
