A few days ago, we obtained a set of camouflaged spy photos of the production version of BYD Song L, which is positioned as a medium-sized SUV, from relevant channels. Judging from the pictures, the car is currently undergoing high-temperature testing in Turpan, and its overall shape is basically consistent with the Song L concept car unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show. It is worth mentioning that the car will be launched in the fourth quarter.
Combined with the previously unveiled concept cars, the new car is based on Dynasty’s “Pioneer Dragon Aesthetics” design concept and has a high degree of recognition. Specifically, the combination of BYD Song L’s thick and depressed front and the rich three-dimensional lines on the motor hatch cover creates a diving visual effect. At the same time, the headlight group with dragon claw elements is still retained, but it is not known whether the light strip running through the front grille will be reflected in the mass-produced car.
Viewed from the side of the body, its most notable feature is the smooth fastback shape. The body line slopes downward from the B-pillar, and the overall visual effect is very harmonious. In terms of the rear, this car adopts an exaggerated spoiler design, which is full of movement. At the same time, this car is expected to follow the through-type taillight group design in the concept car, as well as the complex design elements of the lamp cavity, so that it has a good visual effect.
Song L is based on the e-platform 3.0, and will be equipped with CTB battery-body integration technology, intelligent electric four-wheel drive, cloud car system, etc., which will greatly enhance the competitiveness of this car. At present, the official has not disclosed the specific information of this car, and we will continue to pay attention.
